AbstractThis study aims to find out about the translation techniques used and the translation process from English to Indonesian in a novel entitled The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, by C. S. Lewis. The descriptive qualitative research method is applied in conducting this study. The data used in this study is contained in the novel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The result of this study shows that the translation process requires translation techniques to find the right equivalent to replace the word and phrase without changing the meaning.AbstrakPenelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui tentang teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan dan proses penerjemahan dari bahasa Inggris ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dalam sebuah novel berjudul The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, karya C. S. Lewis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdapat di dalam novel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa proses penerjemahan ini dibutuhkan teknik penerjemahan untuk mencari padanan yang tepat agar menggantikan kata atau kalimat tersebut tanpa mengubah makna yang dikandung.
