Literary translation, also known as aesthetic-poetic translation, is one of several types of translation that emphasizes the source text’s emotional meanings and language style. Poetry is the oldest literary genre, and poetry translation is considered the most difficult because the procedure must preserve the author’s original intent. When translating poetry, the translator must be able to deliver content and meaning in the source language. In this research, the researcher would like to analyze the translation method that Wildah R. employed when translating "Sonnet XVIII" by William Shakespeare. The method utilized in this research is qualitative research. After conducting the research, it showed that the most used translation method is the free translation method. The result also showed that numerous methods were employed to translate the text above, including the semantic translation method, literal translation method, and faithful translation method.
